Series Selection

 

Red Hat Linux includes a System Component selection facility. 2.9 System Components are ``meta-packages'' that consist of a group of related packages (such as C language Development, which includes compilers, libraries and debuggers). You can either select system components for installation, use the fine-grained package selection available on the next screen, or a combination of the two. To select a component or individual package, move the highlight to the desired item and toggle its flag with . To enable individual package selection you should flag the ``Select individual packages'' option on the Component selection screen. If you select the ``Everything'' component, all packages will be selected for installation. You can then use the individual package selection to deselect the items that you do not want to install.
