2.3.11 Filesystem Configuration

Next, select the root partition to install to from the list of available partitions on the screen. The partition you select will be flagged with the mount point / on the screen that follows. After selecting the root partition you can select other partitions to mount, including DOS and OS/2 HPFS partitions. To mount additional partitions move the highlight to the partition on the list and select the ``EDIT'' button with the key. Type the mount point information and select ``OK'' when finished. If you make an error you can use the ``CLEAR'' button to reset the input field and ``CANCEL'' to return to the partition selection screen. If you move (or remove) the mount point for the root filesystem it is highly unlikely that the installation will complete successfully. If you decide to make changes to the root partition selection make sure you have indicated a valid partition for / before proceeding. (Figure 2.8)

You will now be presented with a list of partitions to format. Use the arrow keys and the space bar to select all the partitions you need to format. Do not select partitions that contain data you want to keep.
