VARs, ISVs

Caldera launches Channel Partner and Independent Vendor Programs

Caldera Inc., has launched two partner programs in conjunction with
the shipment of Caldera Network Desktop 1.0. The Caldera Channel
Partner program and the Caldera Independent Vendor Partner program
focus on the rapidly growing Information Server market and represent
Caldera's initial efforts to build the industry's first Linux Value
Added Reseller (VAR) channel and the first Internet/Intranet Independent
Software Vendor (ISV) channel.

The Caldera Channel Partner Program

The Caldera Channel Partner program is designed to recruit and assist
a network of worldwide System Integrators, VARs and consultants to
maximize the potential of the quickly emerging Internet/Intranet market.
The Caldera Channel Partner program includes tiers for multiple commitment
levels with product purchase discounts from 20 to 30 percent on both
Caldera's products and third-party products that ship on the Caldera
Solutions CD, described below. Some of the benefits Caldera provides
channel partners include technical support, training, free in-house
software and connection to potential customers via map-based routing
from Caldera's World Wide Web page.

Caldera believes that leveraging the experience and reach of a comprehensive
network of channel partners is essential to successfully market low-cost,
feature-rich computing alternatives. Caldera employs field representatives
who recruit, educate and assist channel partners and who promote third-party
applications designed for Caldera's platform.

The Caldera Independent Vendor Partner Program

The Caldera Independent Vendor Partner program provides developers with
a comprehensive mechanism for delivering their applications, services,
technical support, training and complementing products to top consultants,
resellers and end users worldwide. The program is designed to assist
Caldera, its software and hardware development partners and their mutual
customers in designing, creating, distributing and employing solid,
complete solutions for the desktop, in the network and across all of
the Internet's global services.

Caldera, Inc., a Ray Noorda company established in 1994, empowers
the Internet community, developers, OEMs, channel partners, ISVs,
industry partners, consultants and end-users to collaborate, innovate,
build and deliver meaningful computing alternatives to the business
community.
