Subject: Fixes for Debian 0.91 available
X-Listprocessor-Version: 6.0b -- ListProcessor by Anastasios Kotsikonas
Status: RO

While the world waits for the next release of Debian, I thought that I
might throw together a few fixes for Debian 0.91. (Actually, there
are only two, but they seem to affect just about every Debian 0.91
system out there.)

Firstly, I put together a replacement for the Debian 0.91 UUCP
package, which was missing a significant amount of essential
utilities. I believe that the package is the one distributed with
Slackware. In any case, I think it is fairly complete (I don't use
UUCP, personally, so I don't know for sure). It should also fix the
problems that some Debian 0.91 systems experienced when attempting to
deliver mail over the Internet (/usr/bin/uux was missing, and Smail
didn't like that very well).

Secondly, I have made `sysklogd-1.1' available. This fixes the
``loose cannon'' problem in `syslogd'.

The fixes are available in `/pub/Linux/distributions/debian/fixes' at
sunsite.unc.edu.
