Troll Tech is proud to announce the Qt GUI programming contest.

			     What is it?

A contest for programmers, writing free GUI software using Qt (a C++
GUI toolkit, see http://www.troll.no/). Anyone can enter, there is no
fee for entry, and any program can be entered as long as it is written
in C++ and uses Qt.

The winner will be paid US$2000 and two runners-up $500 after the
contest has closed on May 1, 1997 and the jury has done its job.

				 Why?

Troll Tech _sells_ Qt licenses to professional developers, on Windows
95, Windows NT and so far ten UNIX-like operating systems. Troll Tech
also _gives_ free software developers free licenses for UNIX/X11,
partly as publicity, and partly because we like the UNIX/X11 free
software community.

We wish to encourage more free GUI software for X11 (there isn't very
much good free X11 software, in our opinion) and we wish more people
to experience for themselves how good Qt is.

			   More information

http://www.troll.no/contest.html has extensive information about the
contest and Qt.

Questions may be sent to cont...@troll.no.
